Growing JOY Farms has had quite an interesting 2 years.  Everyone who runs a small business can attest to that sentiment as we continue to navigate our way through this Covid Pandemic.  Yet, we wouldn’t change a thing.  We’re thankful for where we’ve been, where we are now, and where we’re going. We’re THANKFUL for you – our customers – who are more like friends and family.

Everything we do at the farm is for the purpose of sustaining life and being a farm that is sustainable and with minimal waste.  It’s a JOY  (see what I did there?) to watch seeds germinate, began to show life, and then produce a harvest.  It can certainly be frustrating to watch seeds not yield like expected or to navigate creatures and other rodents that also enjoy our produce.  Yet, we’re thankful.

As we come to the time of the year where many of us are able to gather with friends and family and enjoy wonderful food and slow down just a little bit: we wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your continued support, friendship, and business.  We have a lot planned for the remainder of this year and next year – we can’t do without each of you!

I can’t end this post without saying: we’re also thankful that 48 grow beds have been completely built and of those only a few are left to be filled with compost and seeded with plants.

Below you can see some of the new life that’s happening at the farm. There will not be a blog entry next week.

We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
