HOT

Some weeks there isn’t much to write about. Truth. We were trying to survive this week. The weather has been pure misery. The Charlotte area broke heat records on Wednesday. There’s been very little (any?) rain that’s occurred. Weeks like this mean that Chester Water get more money from us than normal. But produce must be hydrated in order to remain healthy and continue to grow.

Despite all of this heat and lack of rain - things at the farm are looking very well. There are lots of green tomatoes that will hopefully ripen over the next few days so that those of you in the CSA program will reap these rewards next week. Our pepper plants continue to look strong. I also may have seen some green beans today that are ready to harvest. We’ll handle that tomorrow.

Thanks for your continued support: even when there’s not much exciting to write about (or read about.)

Stay cool!
