JOYful Week. . .
We have had quite an eventful week at the farm! We were able to get water pumping from the existing greenhouse into the new greenhouse. The buildout isn’t quite complete and we’re still playing around with what pump will be best. However, as of this writing the nutrient rich water is flowing from the fish tanks into the new greenhouse. Thanks to our friends Robby and Alice Bell for stopping by and helping us for a few hours.
We also had the privilege of hosting Mrs. Kelly’s class from Cherry Park Elementary in Rock Hill, SC. They spent some time with us on Tuesday. We learned how to plant a sunflower, they helped us seed a tray of lettuce seeds, and we even taught them how to pick carrots. Mrs. Kelly also brought a scavenger hunt of things to find on the farm. It was a fun day!
We were also thankful to have a familiar face stop by this week. Eli worked with us this past summer and plans to work with us again this coming summer. He had a job shadow day at school and came by the farm to lend a hand. He was a great help as we prepare to start prepping and planting for summer.
Have a great weekend!
