Memories. . .
One year ago today, at this time, I couldn’t feel my body. Jeremy and I had successfully unloaded 20,000 pounds of steel and materials for our new greenhouse. We wrote about it in our Blog for that week. Little did we know that it would literally take us a year to get that thing from pieces to having lettuce in water. And technically we’re not operational yet; we haven’t piped the nutrient rich water from the old greenhouse into the new greenhouse. That’ll be next week!
Memories are funny things. Some are good. Some are bad. They take us back in time and remind us of where we’ve been. . . and sometimes with anticipation we can hope for where we’re going.
As we started to fill the system with lettuce heads, I did look at Jeremy and ask “What have we done?!” It’s going to be a lot of lettuce. But it’s going to provide opportunities for more employees, more customers, and more JOY.
A year ago we had a good week - despite the soreness. And, yes, this week we’ve had a good week.
