Lessons. . .

A big thrust of what we want to accomplish at the farm is the opportunity to teach lessons. We did it this summer with our employees. We do it daily. Jeremy teaches me daily about agriculture and I in turn teach that to Jay. Then life happens. . . and if Jay is around he gets to learn about that as well.

For instance, this week I had the joy of a flat tire. Jay learned how to change a tire. We’re expanding our fencing in the back in preparation of further agriculture; Jay learned how to use the Kubota and auger. We had an issue with a tool and I took it to True Value of Rock Hill for some redneck ingenuity. Jay learned and walked out with a new hat. It’s about teaching lessons.

So much of our life is an opportunity to teach a lesson. To a coworker, a spouse, a child. We have opportunities every day. Don’t let them pass you by.

Have a great Friday and a great weekend.
