May Flowers?

The old saying is that “April showers bring May flowers.” I don’t know about that. I’m not sure that it’s true. But it’s something, somewhere along the way, I learned and it’s ingrained into my memory.

The rain, as of late, has been helpful for our corn. It’s really starting to grow and that’s got us excited! The rain, however, has also hindered us from being able to get other beds ready to plant with more corn.

We’re thankful that in the past few weeks the farm has dodged any major storm damage. We know of others in the Carolinas who aren’t as fortunate.

While our farm isn’t as concerned about flowers; we are thankful for the change of the seasons and the new life it brings to the farm.

Stay dry this weekend!
