One Step Closer. . .

We passed an inspection today which will allow Duke Energy to set a new meter granting us temporary power so that our electricians can finish their work. Upon their completion; we’re ready for our final inspection with eager anticipation for Certificate of Occupancy allowing us to begin operation. The question, of course, is how long will this final step take? There’s no way to know!

Smith Construction accomplished a lot this week alongside the greenhouses. We’re no longer in a mud pit and have plenty of rock to keep us out of the mud. Long term these additional expenses will aide the farm and anyone who may stop by for a visit.

Inside the greenhouse we have began to prep for the installation of the pond liner. We’re putting cardboard down as a primer - or insulation - to shield the pond liner from touching rough and jagged edges of rock or stone.

We’re excited about how things continue to progress. Hopefully very soon we’ll be able to say that we’re operational!

Have a great weekend!
