Second Summer
It was a hot, dusty, and dry week at the farm. Most afternoons were miserable trying to get work done. But there were things to do on the farm - and for our construction crews - and we had another successful week.
Our storage building pad went from having the foundation inspected, to having concrete poured and set, to having a building built/installed. Hopefully more pictures will be available on Friday of the completed storage building. In addition to this great news on the storage building, Jeremy and I have a meeting with the greenhouse company tomorrow at the farm. They should begin work on that structure in the next few weeks.
From a farming perspective we had a great week harvesting lettuce, preparing beds for cover crops, and doing other maintenance around the farm. In addition to that we had a large delivery of 4x4 posts and concrete so that we can extend our fencing.
A lot happened this week. It’s an exciting time at the farm.
Have a great, fall weekend!
