Windy…
It would seem that we have had lots of wind lately. In fact, the last few weeks we’ve experienced both wind and rain. And lots of it. Our typical harvest days are Wednesday’s and Thursday’s. The past few weeks those days have been wet. Today was no exception.
Don’t misunderstand me, however; we’re thankful for the rain. Our beds are looking the best they’ve looked. There’s no freeze in the forecast. We’re happy and thankful.
We are currently harvesting things like carrots, onions, and spinach. This week we planted tomatoes, peppers (lots of varieties), beans, and potatoes. In the next few weeks we should begin to harvest radishes and beets in addition to carrots, onions, and spinach.
Spring is a fun time at the farm. Minus the allergies.
Enjoy your weekend!
