Time to Regroup. . .

As summer begins to wind down we begin to regroup. If we were a traditional farm that relied on fall produce; we’d be behind the 8-ball. However, we don’t rely on fall produce from our outside beds. This time of year we begin the process of turning our beds, planting cover crops, and preparing for what we will plant for Spring.

Now don’t get me wrong. We will plant some things for this fall and early winter season. But that’s more or less for our enjoyment than for pushing out to market.

This change of the season allows for us to regroup and prepare for what we want the farm to look like in 2024. It’s hard to believe but we need to start that process now so that we’re ready!

We hope you are able to enjoy this change of pace that September ushers in.

Thanks,

J&J
